I think there are some places where decorum is called for, such as church, weddings, funerals, theaters, quiet restaurants, and the like. I naturally have a robust sneeze, and although I don't stifle them completely, in certain situations I don't let it all hang out, either. Sometimes consideration for others takes precedence over lettin' 'um rip.
But when I'm home, in the car, or among friends, watch out!

It is very annoying, besides it is not healthy to hold back a sneeze. It kills more brain cells than just letting it go. At the worst it could cause a brain aneurysm.
It is not impolite to sneeze, but try to cover your mouth, millions of harmful germs are released when you sneeze.

One achieveable risk is which you will seem to be snickering, Tim. have been your movements to be to that end misconstrued - at a funeral, to illustrate, or a small newborn's first ballet overall performance - offence might certainly be taken and you may get duffed up. far greater effective to allow it circulate - be it a sneeze, a cough, or possibly a noisy recto-trumpet. Then in simple terms bow with politeness and circulate away the premises, on no account to return.

It's good they suppress it. Sneezing releases millions of germs into the air if the mouth is uncovered.

That's because you're rude and ill-mannered. People try to suppress their sneezes to involve as few people as possible in the microscopic contamination. I bet you don't even have the manners to cover your mouth.

Nope it doens't bother me.
Just make sure to cover your mouth when you sneeze...it's simply more hygenic and polite to aleast cover.
Sneazing is natural and NORMAL bodily function. Trying to control them or stiffle them is simply an affectation. You can actually hurt yourself doing this. Don't do it.

It does bother me. People sneeze to get rid of irritants in the nasal passages, and by holding it in, your body can't do this. I often wonder why people try to hold them in. I don't think it's rude, as long as you say "Excuse me." afterward. Same goes for belching and passing gas. They're normal, bodily functions that people are supposed to do, and as long as you pardon yourself, what's the harm?
