Lift tail.
Under the anus - look to see if there is a slit (it will be pretty close to the anus) = girl
A boy will have a small pouch (future testicles) with small hole much further down. It can be tricky when they are really young!

if distance from the butt and the area the kitten urinates out of is close in proximity, then it is a female, if it is further distanced, than it is a boy.

It's hard to tell until it gets a little older. The male will develop 'sacks'.

there's a little nut sack under there by his rear for a boy. no nut sack for a girl

Look under their tails. If they have testicles, its a boy. No testicles, its a girl.

well..look at th butt. if he/she has...lol...two little "balls" on his/her butt, its a boy. if not, it might be a girl. check with the vet.
