Me and my chap really want to go to Mexico next year for an all inclusive 2 weeks. Our money is limited but we don't have any children and am not planning on any soon. Should I say bollocks to the money and put it on credit card? Its gonna cost bout £1600 for the both of us.

I had a great time in Mexico and it certainly didnt cost me that much. We travelled around and saw 7 places in 3 weeks, a tiny part of mexico, went to Mexico City, Guanajuata, Zihuatinejo, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Acapulco and somewhere else with a volcano we rode horse up. If you just wanna drink and lie on the lounger by the pool go somewhere closer to home, you'll still have the weather and it'll be cheaper. If you actually want to go to Mexico and maybe climb a volcano, take a boat trip on the swamp, hold a baby crocodile, see the pyramids or visit Frida Khalo's house, or many other things, then go there and have a fab time and you can pay your debts off when you get back!

Take advantage of the fact that you're child-free and do something nice for your chap and yourself. The money you spend is well worth it.

No the water will make you sick and tourist areas are expensive. Non-tourist areas are where you really dont want to be. Save it or pay off a bill.
