You could make them now and they will still be as hard as a rock! Everybody uses Jordan Almonds. Why not try something that's not so common. There are so many different ideas for favors out there! If you've already bought them you could put them in little trays all over the reception area (like nut/mint trays).

don't do it. be original. i photograph about 40 weddings a year and about 30 of them do the jordan almonds. think of something new so people will remember it!

I agree with KareBear - You'll break your teeth on them no matter how fresh they are. And they're expensive too! THere are so many other options out there for that little sweet that people like to give (and recieve). You can even get M&M's printed with your own message these days.

You can probably make them a few weeks in advance as long as they're stored in a cool place. Otherwise, 2 weeks should be fine.
