First, I think it should be less about watching them once they get here, and more about screening who is given a visa. I think anyone who has been to a "special" school, should be denied entry to the US. However, there are many, many Arabs who would never dream of doing anyone harm and why should they be punished because there are some *ssholes who are Arabs?
To whoever the idiot was who said it is easy to get citizenship, stop speaking from your *sshole. It is far from easy. Even if you are from the UK or Australia from European heritage and are married to an American citizen and have children with that citizen, it is a pain it the rear end to go through the process and nothing is guaranteed. Learn a little about what you are saying before you say it.

I know this is a difficult concept for some people to grasp, but not all brown skinned people are terrorists. There were similar concerns during World War II when the government rounded up everyone of Japanese descent and kept them in interment camps for the duration of the war. There is a long history of discrimination against ethnic groups including Irish, Chinese, and Africans. You can't label everyone based on the color of their skin or their religious beliefs. There were several incidents in the aftermath of 9/11 where a Sikh was shot and killed outside the gas station he owned. In my town, there was an eatery called Curry In A Hurry that some idiot tried to burn down - said idiot is now in prison for a hate crime, and the local community pitched in and helped the owner rebuild. People who engage in illegal activities should be watched, but don't make assumptions based on where someone was born, please.

We need warm bodies to keep the universities open. Our American students don't have the good sense to work hard and educate themselves, therefore, too many empty seats. Empty seats equate to professors being laid off, classes cancelled, ... We seem to allow anyone with a pulse to study here and in return, they buy our assets and get our jobs. Americans should stop the tailgate parties and get serious about education. Education is power. I want us to be the best.

I am willing to let anyone come to America that is eligible and that does it legally. I do not care where they are from. All I am asking is that they pledge their personal oath to uphold American law and protect and defend the constitution. To answer your question...i do not think we should observe or watch anyone who hasn't given us a reason to. By virtue of a persons heritage or country of origin I do not feel anyone is exempt from or deserves any more scrutiny than another.

After 9/11, yes. Our government should enforce the immigration laws to the letter. No more excuses for being so lax to some immigrants or else 9/11 will happen again.

You think they aren't being watched? Most Arabs are honest, hard-working people who want to better themselves at an American university or college. It's just that small handful of ***hole terrorists that make it tough on everyone. Trust me, Big Brother is watching them.

We do observe them. We also watch them. As that great sage Yogi Berra said, you can observe a great deal by just looking.

Hey Ricardo, I think the NSA knows that you've asked this question here. Is there a fanatic muslim hiding in your house, just for the record?

I think keeping a close eye on them would only be reasonable. I think that wire taps and the like would also be reasonable. They are not citizens they should not have the rights afforded to our citizens.

well, like any nationality...it's a pretty easy process to get citizenship here. Unfortunately, most people don't think like you and I....they call us profilers or racists or biggots. The truth is hard and one day it will bite us in the rear.....and hard too.
