6-8 glasses is recommended. but if you are out doors you might want to drink more.

Well like the person before me mentioned, 6-8 glasses a day is recomended. And that's what I try to do. But if you're outdoors hiking, or whatever. Continuously take drinks of water. When doing things like that you never want to get to the point where you feel thirsty. It's proven that when you feel thirst, you're already a bit dehydrated. So be sure when to physical activities outdoors, or even indoors, keep yourself well hydrated! Take Care!

I have always heard 8-10 8oz glasses a day but I guess it could also depend on your weight and the amount of activity that you are doing and also how hot it is. I have personally 10-15 glasses in a regular day. If I don't drink enough water my skin becomes dry...

I try to drink at least four 16oz water bottles everyday. If I sweat more, I drink more.
A friend told me that if she goes to the gym to work out she always drinks as much water as possible. She drinks 2 bottles of water in a 2 1/2 hour workout.

Drink as much as your body needs. In hot countries you have to make sure you drink some water before venturing outside and always, always carry a bottle of water around. In hot countries one can end up easily drinking more than two 1.5 litres bottles of water. Never under-estimate the heat.

The recommendation is 64 ounces or more...dont wait to drink when your thirsty, by then your body is already becoming dehydrated. Drink through-out the day .

My kidney doc says that an adult is suppose to have an intake of 3 liters of liquids a day to produce an output of 2 liters a day. I would recommend drinking 8 8oz glasses of water a day.
