Usually with the BeBe it is better heard around 4 months and on. Make sure your home is VERY quite and noone is talking. Turn off all the radios, TVs and fans. The BeBe monitor picks up all these sounds and intensifies them, drowning out the baby's heartbeat.
Then you have to be patient until you find the heartbeat, which will sound similar to what you hear at the doctor's office. It's really cool once you get the hang of it!

Well, I couldn't hear squat until about 30 weeks. But becky didn't want to turn around, so I think I was trying to hear her heart though her foot.

I have one of those you can not find the heart beat until after your first trimester then TRY AGAIN you WILL find it! Just make sure there is NO NOISE in the back ground! GOOD LUCK

Not really until the 3rd trimester.
Pay attention to where the doc finds the HB and that will help you find it when you try.
