The muggers, rapists, thieves, swindlers, robbers, goons, thugs,asses, fools, idiots, imbeciles, jackass's, moon-calves, nincompoops, ninny's, nitwits, simples, simpleton's, softheads, tom-fools, dopes, ganders, goose-brains. cretin's, ding-dongs, dips, goofs, jerks, schmo's, schmucks, turkeys, that would threaten us and endanger our loved ones.
Eliminate the above group and then you can eliminate the issue with guns.

Although everyone seems to blame the criminal, it's not an answer to your question. The proper phrasing of the question should be: Who is to blame for so many guns getting into criminal hands? To answer that question, lets keep in mind that I don't think there are many criminals out there with gun manufacturing capabilities or any that are licensed gun dealers. So how do they get them? It obviously starts with the people who can buy or sell them legitimately who get careless.

Both the demand and supply side of the equation are responsible. People demand guns, so companies make them. Both are responsible for the rising number of guns on the streets (and in homes for that matter).

the thugs and criminals are to blame. If every law-abiding citizen in the USA were to own a gun, criminals would be put out of business!

Why do you want to blame them ? May be they have brought all this to safegaurd themselves from others - this is what happens when love is not seen and hatred is spread in every possible way.

Not me. All mine have a 10:00 curfew, and have to carry their cell phones with them when they go out. Keeps them out of trouble, you know...
