Can anyone do lucid dreaming?

I've been trying to control my dreams as far back as I can remember to reverse nightmares. I've gotten to the point that I try to control all of my dreams even the ones that are going great on their own.
My best dreams are mature fairy tales (if you know what I mean?). -Sometimes right in the middle of the dream, I start censoring it.
I'm a prude.

I'm still alittle bit new to lucid dreaming, but I've had three short ones. They have not been long enough to carry out any of my wishes, but once I have a stable lucid dream, I plan on morphing into some animal. Sounds corny, but I think being a dog, dolphin or bird would give me (and other people) another view of life.

I have had a few *never lasted long i always wake up*
like I had one, I was thinking about my girlfriend before I went to bed, and when i entered the dream I became lucid...
and then me and her were walking out of my room
and we were watching the skies at night *they were soooo colorful*
and we were telling each other how much we love each other... and then I woke up =(
too bad that was only a dream.

not sure but 1 time i dreamed that this guy i help raise was dead i was the only person at the furnal ( in my dream ) i saw him laying in the coffin in a black sute. then 2 months latter i found out that he was killed and he was wearing an all black suite. do that count, i also have thses reoccuring dreams of the earth being brurn and im running everything burns up but i make it out safe, now that 1 scares me there are more but i dont want to scare ppl

Yes. I have floated all over my house. I went down the stairs and into the kitchen and heard everyone's conversations. When I tried to get back into my body, I could feel the dead weight of my arms on the physical, sleeping me, and the metaphysical me got a little panicked, like I was scared I had died or something.
Also, once, I tried to go to NJ to visit a friend. I just wanted to see him. And I got lost in a train station or something. I floated into an elevator and eventually went back outside and back to my home. I was very sad that I didn't get to see him.
