I'm starting High school in the fall. I've already gotten the usual advice, you know "be yourself" and I agree with that but I am looking for some more specific advice. Like what and what not to do. Who and who not to talk to. Tips?

First thing to do is make yourself a shiv. Then get friendly with the biggest, meanest, ugliest moron in school. Finally, don't bend over in the showers.

You are entering in to quite a milestone in your life. High school can bring you many happy memories in later years. Yes its fun to be "popular" , but try to make friends with people you feel comforatable with. Try to join different types of clubs during your first year and that will help you find what you like best, and you will be surprised, you may find interests that you never you had talent in. Just have a good learning experience the next few years, go with the flow,,,try to be a listener more than a talker, people will totally respect you for that, you will find that you will be the one people go to talk to because you are a good listener , and dont gossip. Dont get caught up in all the "Drama".

Go into high school with an open mind. i know its trite, but really if you be yourself then people will be attracted to that. people can pick up on when others are trying too hard to fit in. Do not be afraid to go up and talk to people. Also join extracurricular activites- debate team, cross-country. Also do not be afraid of upper-classmen, alot of the times, they are looking for new people to hang out with because they are sick of their own grade- i know i am. any other questions email me, im about to be a senior.

don't worry so much about being with the 'cool crowd'. Guess what....they are losers!! Be yourself, and don't fall for smooth-talking guys. Talk to everyone...don't think you're better or worse than anyone in school. Treat everyone with respect and you should get it back.

just ignore people if they say something that bothers you so a fight doesn't start, been there done that (personal experience) I've been out of high school for 10 years now so I know what I'm talking about

Dont get into the whole popularity thing. Youll look later and realize how dumb it all was. But more importantly, don't fall down the stairs.

im a freshman also next year, im not worried and neither should you be, just blend in and make alot of friends. im not even worried of the first day of school. because its always the same. new teachers blah blah blah
and for the combat training dumas, your not funny

do not be messy and dont try to fit in with others and dont pack every single book that u get in your bag pack jus be cool and nice

always use protection when u have sex, bcoz high school guys are more promiscuous than jurior high kids.
