Hate to bum you out hun, but he probably is... Usually cats know they are going to die before they actually die, and when they know this they always run away from home, so they can die in peace, and not in front of you... I"m sorry.. :( Can always place an ad in the paper to see if any one found him though...

hate to say this but i think he is if he was there daily for food and all the sudden he ant then some thing had to have happend , do you have animal control in your eriea they prolly traped him and killed him poor cat have lost many strays this way

If it is a stray , they do that . You will probably see it again.
