This is due to some scientific reason because of the water you use to wash your hair. Fresh water helps your hair grow because water that don't have too much salt in it purifies and clean your hair better. Salt water clogs your roots creating a reaction to your scalp where the pores will not be as loose as when you use fresh water. Using warm water helps it grow too.

Because I am multi-racial, my hair is long and thick, and it grows very slowly. If I cut my hair to a short hairdo, it takes two years before it grows back down just past my shoulders.

Now that I'm older, it still grows slowly, but it has thinned out considerably with age.

do u straighten ur hair?? or do u have a perm? that may be the cause...ur hair gets damaged if u do that often to it!...it kinda slows down the growth of ur hair if u use heated things on it....what it does is give u split dry ends ...go get those cut off at a salon and get blow drying serum and redken macadamean oil. i straighten my hair all the time cuz i have super curly hair so i usually starighten it. i used to have that same prblem too. so i started using a super expensive straightner and the redken stuff and the blow drying serum that i told u about! it really really helped the speed of my hair! hope this helped.love ya Kayla

Mine grows slowly too. Try massaging with coconut oil every weekend, leave it for 30 mins then wash it out. Get your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks. This will keep it in good condition, and you might notice that it is actually growing.

it depends on what you put on your hair and how many times you shampoo your hair because if you wash it to much it may brake off and if you get perms it sometimes brakes off but it depends on the techtior and if your hair is thick or thin
