Once I was at a training sesion at the fire department as a volunteer and the person in charge said every firefighter should be able to walk forward with a 1 3/4 hose with water running to the front at 80 - 100 psi.....
So I was wondering.... wouldn´t it be better using two firemen instead of just one?
Thanks!

For that pressure and that size hose, we usually have one person handling the hose and another back to back with them, giving them a brace, once they're standing still. That can be exhausting to hold onto for any length of time unless you're accustomed to fighting several fires a day. Walking forward with it isn't as difficult as holding it in position for long periods.

One person should be able to do that, Of course two would be better.
