Yes. The body adjusts to caffine intake very quickly. They may not feel the effects of caffine anymore or, like my brother and myself...they may actually need it so their brains focus.
I know I have to have a cup of coffee before bed because I tend to have a hyperactive brain. The caffine helps me focus and lets me actually relax.
Yes, this is the opposite reaction than what we know of caffine, but think about it.
ADD patients are prescribed Ridaline to "focus." Ridaline is an upper like caffine..but more potent and much more damaging. Caffine is actually a lot safer.

I just love it.Yes I do drink it at night after dinner, sometimes right before going to sleep. I grew up in a family that did that every night with desserts. I am so very use to the caffeine. My day starts with coffee and ends with a cup. I just enjoy it. If I am tired enough it doesn't keep me awake.

Coffee can actually help you go to sleep just like how it can help you wake up in the morning. It has a countereffect on your body. So like someone who has adhd has to take something like coffee to sleep since they are always up and doing something. It make them tired instead.

I'm a dumb animal. I could go to sleep on a pot and a half of coffee. I have a high tolerance to caffeine, though. She probably does, too.

There are a lot of people who work jobs that we drink so much coffee, it doesn't bother us to drink it that close to bedtime. (Police, Corr. Officers, fireman) Then again, as someone else stated, it could be decaf. I myself prefer hot tea before bed.

Maybe the coffee she is drinking is decaff. Either that or she's been drinking coffee so long that her body isn't bothered by the caffeine anymore.
