Cats usually don't like to be held or carried. They'll come and sit on/by you if you ignore them, but if you try to hold them they'll usually run from you.

She is a control freak. Like all cats. Seriously, she is a small animal and people are pretty big. Cats don't like being controlled. I've known several cats that would hang with you for hours, but the second you got all grabby and possessive, it was over man, they were out like a light. Let her be the way she is because guess what-- there is no changing cats.

I just got 2 kittens - brother and sister - and they are quite different. Honey (the female) loves to be held and hugged. Little Bit (the male) likes to be pet and cuddled, but only on his terms. He does not like being picked up all that much at all.

All cats are different. I had another cat, Bandit, that hated to be held, but loved attention.

Our cat liked being held until one day when a friend of my son was visiting. I am certain something bad happened that day because after that, the cat would no long tolerate being held. I feel very bad about it.

i have two female cats:one 20 month old chinchilla and another:a 9 month old bobytail singapura tabby the singapura tabby kind tolerate more thenother family members...she Will roar if they carry her,.she can be really fierce and hate being touched, but she will come to me whenever am asleep or sit down and sit or sleepy next to me,she don't like to show her emotions openly.i guess its the same way abt the average felines.now the chinchilla is OK.more calmp, peaceful friendly and easy going.so again maybe it depends on races sometimes.

My cat is the same way. Cats just are that way. They aren't very social. Some cats enjoy people and others don't. I have one cat that hates when i touch him, and another cat that loves me. It is just the way they are.

cats are a very independant breed and need to think that they are the boss. Let the cat come to you on thier terms and they will come around more often.

Some cats are just like that. Let her come to you for cuddles and don't force the issue.

It's all about the control thing. Maybe you mess up the way they've fixed their fur-do for the day. My cat has to fix her fur even when I just pet her...
