No we don't. The problem is that many guys out there believe that being good is the same as being dumb or weak, they stereotype you and think that they can step over you. When this happens, you gotta show your inner strenght and defend your self. One of the mistakes that a lot of good guys make (the bad guy's advantage) is that they are lonesome or lack proper social skills, learn the skills and most likely your problems will be solved, surround yourself with other good guys and support each other. Don't take rules too seriously, they exist only to control over you. If you are good but weak then you are not good, strenght is a virtue. I believe that you want to be good but you have a wrong idea of what being good is all about. Remember: BAD GUYS RULE WHILE GOOD GUYS ALLOW IT

Only one of them finishes last. Another might finish next to last, and another third to last, etc. Once in a while there's a tie, and I've even known cases where a good guy and a bad guy both had to drop out entirely, so it was never determined which, if either, had actually finished last.

By the way, I think I'm the last to answer this question. The last shall be first?

I don't think it's true.

I do, however, have a theory:

I think that girls like a guy they can mould. If there's potential for change and they think they *might* be able to change them, they'll probably pursue it, they might see it as being an obstacle they'd like to overcome, just for the sake of accomplishing something in another person (namely, a guy that they're interested in.) Even if the guy is being a complete idiot they'll keep going after him, because they might see it as something they shouldn't really have to begin with. It kind of breaks the rules.. just like when our parents asked us when we were kids to come in at a certain time in the evening from a friend's house or just from playing outside. No one wanted to go back inside. The same kind of idea applies.. some girls seem to have this hold on the guys who don't play by the rules and these guys kind of radiate a sense of confidence and assertiveness that says "I can do what I want, and you can't stop me".. and time and time again they set themselves up for heartbreak. Just like Carrie Bradshaw said in one episode.. "Are we dating the same guy over and over again?" One big question is, is that even if these kinds of so-called "relationships" exist.. will they ever last? That's a question to be answered.. and I don't know what to say about that. My first instinct would be "no, definitely not.." but if moulding *is* possible.. then it *could* be possible. But that brings another question into mind, because as we all get older and become more exposed to the outside world, we become set in our ways and the possibility of change or moulding becomes more and more of a remote possibility.

On the flip side of the coin, if a girl has gone through heartbreak after heartbreak she might end up with a "good" guy and that "guy" may not necessarily be last.. Have faith, my son.

The origin is probably lost. Good guys don't necessarily finish last, however I have found its much easier to cheer for the good guy and lament when the bad guy wins.

Yes they do- In high school the girls are just looking for great looking - personality doesn't matter. As the girls get older they learn to appreciate great personality and humor. So the smart girls get the good guys that finish last.

Good guys that finish first are just bad guys who don't get caught.
