1. Quicksilver - I can quickly launch applications when I need it. Helps keep my dock clutter free.

Adium is one of my favorites I can't believe only one person has suggested it so far! It's a great im client that allows pretty much total customization.

Candy Bar is something just for fun, it allows you to change your icons.

Growl is kind of a nice notification system.

I like Konfabulator however I think there is something new and better out there now.

I just tried out podworks from the post above this and it is defiantly a nice app to have as well. Thanks!

Fetch (ftp program)
Microsoft Office 2004

Image Tricks (for fooling with photos)
For FTPing, Cyberduck is great!

I have to use InDesign for work. I think that's about it that is essential.
