Sometimes, after a big bowel movement, my stomach feels like its filling up with gas and I have to burp many times to relieve the pressure. This is sometimes accompanied by deep hiccups. Has anyone experienced this before?

Nope, I've never heard of this and it's never happened to me. Maybe when you dump it frees up a big gas pocket in your intestines and that gas has to come out somewhere. You should ask your Dr. just in case it's someting that needs to be treated. Better to be safe than sorry.
