the people here need to calm their a s s down. i don't understand why they're backing up cops. the area where i live knows that cops are just nothing but pigs. the people here prob live in small towns where they get along with their local policestation. i agree with you seriously. i was searching through the topics of cops and saw yours so i had to comment on that. i swear... cops are like sooo grouchy. they have power trip all the time. just because you dressed a bit "gangster" they treat you totally different which i find unjust already. cops think that they're all that because they have the "light" side of the power... the legit power. they go around giving people tickets for doing wrong turns... speeding over a bit... and a bunch of other stuff... but at the SAME time they are breaking the rules too. i saw it for myself. there was a left turn that you can't bust a U... but i saw with my own eyes that he did that thinking he can just get away with it. he knows that no one can say crap to him. another time... i saw a cop speeding on the freeway for no apparent reason. he wasn't chasing after nobody... just decided to go faster than anybody because he knows he can't get a ticket for it. this really pisses me off. i really want to change things around here when it comes to cops. we citizens should have the rights to report cops that break the rules and they should get arrested for it for committing a crime while on duty putting other people in danger taking advantage of their so called power.
responding to the grouchy part... it's sooo true that they're grouchy AND IT'S NOT BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE ATTITUDE PROBLEM. it's THEM. i've tried it. recently my bf and i have been pulled over because he was on the left lane about to turn left but decided to switch back to the normal straight lane. there was no traffic light... just sort of a stop sign. no cars but he pulled my bf over. so i decided to act really friendly with the cop. it was NOT fake or anything... just the normal way i would treat a person i just met. however... he was giving both of us an attitude. i tried having a convo with him saying "oo we're lost right now because the stupid freeway were all closed off. we exited her by accident and don't know our way out haha..." i didnt finish my sentence and he talked back saying "well if you're lost then drive safely." i immediately changed my perspective of being nice. i wasn't even trying to back up the reason why we switched lane illegally... it was just a normal convo i tried having because we were really lost and since he's a cop maybe he could help out. then i said "well that's not the point... i was wondering if you can tell us how to get out of here" and he snapped all mean saying "well you need a MAP" and i got furious and said straightforwardly "well i thought the best person to ask was you since you're a cop am i not right?" and he got frustrated yet can't talk back since it's true so he said "i'll help you guys out with that after i'm done." he tried to play smart a s s with me but can't. i also know my rules too. i hate how ALL cops try to talk smart a s s with us citizens. i'm tired of that. just because you look ignorant with laws/rules he takes full advantage. i don't trust no cops anymore... they need to check themselves before they check us citizens... they need a life and get themselves better jobs if they hate it so much. if their crotch smells after the whole day wrapped in ceramic wrap pants then they need to either take a shower or get a better job that don't require that

Maybe it's your attitude towards them? My friend's husband is a cop and he is one of the funniest guys I know.
I've also been pulled over twice and the officers are always friendly. I even had an officer joke with me when he pulled me over. He tried to tell me it was illegal for my long hair to be blowing out the window while I was driving -- ha ha!
Try to stay out of trouble, and if you are approached by a cop be polite & show some respect. They are just people doing their job.

I have never met a grouchy cop. My guess is that it is your attitude. Lighten up and stop getting in trouble.

I do not believe this question has any bearing to anything. And I do not think you get in that sort of trouble. And why? Because all your trying to do is make yourself look like your a bad ***. Most people like yourself are the total opposite on here. Nice try though.

Because despite the fact that you have the right to remain silent, many of you lack the ability.
Because we are tired of dealing with the same stupid people over and over and over and over for the same freaking things.
Because we are tired of being lied to and lied about.
Because we are tired of criminals getting away with crimes because some bleeding heart liberal judge thinks they deserve another chance.
Because your attitude stinks. You get whatcha give!

next time you get pulled over, if it's a guy and he asks why you did what you did, say:
"i was just trying to get to the [town/county] police department's ball.."
and if youre lucky, the cop will say
"what? the [town/county] police dept doesn't have any balls!"
and then he'll laugh and maybe let you go. but if not not it's still a hell of a story.

These people are under paid, under funded , over stressed and over worked. In addition they have to put up with people who repeatedly do the same dumb things to under mind law and authority.
