We have an almost 10 month old pit bull and we think she might be pregnant ? I think she's too young still, but she has just had her first "cycle of heat" so to speak.

10 months is not too young. Pit Bulls go into heat every 6 months from birth, but it's not uncommon for a ***** to have a late cycle. My pit bull is in her first heat now and she is also 10 months old. Her vagina swells noticeably and she will bleed lightly. My other Pit as had 2 litters and when she's pregnant the first sign she gives is by not jumping. She will not come off of her back paws, not even to play. She immediately eats more, about double what she used to eat. I would need to know why you think your Pit is pregnant to answer your ? better. Hope this helps.

She is definitely too young! A 10 month old dog is like a 10 yr old child.
If she tied to a male then she is most likely pregnant. You will notice weight gain in the coming weeks and at that time, the vet can do an ultrasound.

Sometimes dogs go through false preganacys just like people. Prior to getting my female spayed right after her heat cycle she would spend alot of time in her kennel, nesting. She would also carry around a toy and pretend its her baby.
You can go to the vet and that will most likely solve the problem.

She may be considered too young emotionally to be pregnant, but it isn't impossible. The way to tell is no different from a human female. The belly doesn't lie.

You see if your dog is pregnant you can tell that the stomach is getting bigger.

If you think she is "too young" , why would she have been left unattended where she could become pregnant??????
That is just total irresponsibility!!!!!!!!

When the dog is lying down and like about to die (HE AINT GONNA DIE!!) and he starts yelping. It happend to me once.
