If I was the most recent person attacked and I found out there were 4 others BEFORE me...I would sue the S**T out of your mother.
That is totally irresponsible!!!!!! There is NO excuse for that!!!!!
That dog needs to be PUT DOWN!!!!!! IT may have a brain tumor, or some other medical problem, but is does not matter!!!
Euthanize the dog!

I hate to say it, but if it's attacked 3 people, it's got major temperment problems. Take it to a behaviorist and get it corrected immediately or put it down. What if the next person was a small child. The dog could do some major damage and your mom would be held financially and sometimes criminally responsible for keeping a dangerous animal. Don't attempt to train this dog yourself. Breaking aggressibe behaviors is something that needs to be done by someone that understands animal psychology and behavior. Attempting to correct it yourselves could make the problem worse and lead to you or your mother at risk for injury from the dog.

you need to groom your self, counting on what you frequently have done to him at the same time as groomed. you need to probable take care of the coat your self merely with suggestions from combing - combing works better on all factors of the body than brushing does, quite for a coat texture like a Springer's. Comb about two times per week, better many times around the ears in case you imagine the hair there is transforming into raveled better many times. lower than the palms, close to the rear, and on the tummy are different places that regularly get raveled.

Watch the Dog Whisperer. The dog is most likely the dominate one in the house and the humans most likely did something the dog didn't like.

I would surmise that the dog has "Rage Syndrome" common in spaniel breeds particularly cockers and springers....

Sounds like the dog needs training. And I hope your mother has good insurance, I'm surprised she hasn't been sued yet.

obviously this dog has major issues....get a professional trainer to work with the dog, or your mom may possibly have to euthanize the dog if his attacks continue.
