Absolutely. I wasn't on the road to Damascus when the blinding light of God's truth shined on my face. I was in a pastor's office, crying my heart out about how rotten my husband was.

After he patiently listened to me whine for about an hour, he said, "Ok, then, that pretty much covers what he is like...now, how about you....tell me the things that YOU do that are wrong."

I was dumbfounded. ME? me? what did THAT have to do with anything. I knew the Bible. I knew I could walk away from that marriage with a guilt free consience because my husband had committed adultery. I had my perfect out.

But the pastor persisted. What have YOU done wrong?

Well, before it was over I not only faced that I had done many, many things wrong, but also that without God's direction in my life I was headed for more and more continuing misery. But how could God forgive me? I had always thought I knew it all. I had been so arrogant.

Then the pastor said this, "No one can serve two masters. He will love one and hate the other."

Who had I been serving? Not God. Who did that leave? Satan. The one being in the universe that hates and deceives humanity every single chance he gets.

I needed God's direction AND protection. Then....even though I had been raised in a Christian home by parents who saw that we were in Church constantly....for the very first time....The Light hit.

Jesus had done what He had done so that I could have that relationship with God. He did it for everyone. That was August 8, 1980, and I have never been the same since.

footnote: my husband accepted Christ a year later and now he leads a Christian men's group and an Adult Sunday School Class. He mentors a child, he cooks for community suppers, he takes old people to their doctors appointments. I couldn't ask for a more wonderful, loving and caring husband. God did a mighty work on him too.

Wow. Are you still reading? If you didn't finish it, it's ok. I really enjoyed writing it all down, and thinking about it again. Thanks.

Yes there are always bad times, but God is always there with me and He ALWAYS brings me through. His mercy is amazing.
He has healed so many people around me, and given me strength through so many storms....

I have realized that there is more to life than the physical, or emotional, beyond what this Earth can offer! The only true promise is eternal paradise with the Father (Mother?)

Most definately!!!! My family had started going to church. My mom, sister, and my grandmother were saved. Then we found out that my grandfather had cancer. He accepted Christ on his death bed after fearing him all his life. The night of his funeral my mom forced me to go to this Praise Concert at their church. My sister did human videos (if you want to know what they are contact me) and after the serman I accepted Christ into my own heart. Each day I wake up thanking God that I will someday be reunited with my grandfather.
