and more than 100 people from your country where detained and emprisonned by the same occupiers..and you elected a party that existed to defend your country against the occupiers since the army in your small country is not strong enough?!
One day, this good party was labeled terrorist by the strongest force in the world (a country that possesses a strong media that brainwashes people and convince them she's right and good) ,and it was threatened and asked to get disarmed..
dont you think Lebanon has the right to protect itself too?
dont tell me hezbolla started the war, those people already have hundreds of lebanese people being in israeli prisons from 20 years and sometimes more, arent these humans too? are israeli people only the humans and others not?
Lebanon has an occupied land, why israel is not to be blamed?
What did hizbolla or Lebanon (all Lebanese people support hizbolla) do to be labeled as terrorists?
please just think logic before answering..

I think you're doing the right thing--reaching out with human logic to individuals to try to make sense of this situation.

Each one that does that turns one blade of grass to a better direction for the whole country. Enough blades of grass turned, the whole field will hold sway.

When the leader of the Hezbollah group openly admitted to kidnapping and killing Israeli soldiers. Now when the leader of a group of people that are known for their less than admirable tactics does this, what does the people expect? Should Israel have sat quietly by while they was shelled by Iranian made rockets or retaliate? These are questions that are not answered today in the currant state of Lebanon. I really feel sorry for the people that are innocent but I do not feel sorry for the Hezbollah terrorists. They should have laid down their weapons and left when Lebanon became free of others rule. The UN would have been more than happy to fill their slots.

The Lebanese people did not elect Hezbollah to government. Only the Shiite Muslims voted for Hezbollah and Amal. The vast majority of the country (the Druze, the Maronites, the Sunnis) want Hezbollah disarmed. Do you remember the demonstrations in Beirut?

And yes, Hezbollah started this. It is the right of a government to start a war not a militia. How can a group of people who represent only a single religious group in Lebanon impose its will on the Lebanese people?

Part of the Occupied Lebanese land you speak of became
occupied AFTER Israel was attacked from Lebanon.
Besides, why would the Lebanese people hate Israel so much
just for existing when they were truly occupied for years by
Syria?

What I would do:
1) Make sure I really knew it was my land. Like really go through my title documents and stuff.
2) And if there were some dispute because the title documents were unclear I'd go to court and arbitrate for it.
3) I'd then live with what the court determines.

Just like the UN did when it peaceably - and with mid-east countries represented as voting parites - established the Israeli state in 1947.

What I wouldn't do:
1) suicide bomb in the name of god
2) sacrifice children in the name of god
3) whine, ***** and moan in the name of God
4) wrap up all other sour-grapes feelings that might have developed in the years after agreeing to let "my land" be "occupied" (actually is was acquired in 1947) under religious pretense and subsequently then brainwashing millions of under-educated youths to be the vassals of my murderous undertaking.

You should have used logic before asking that ignorant one sided for headed question that illustrates your gross misunderstanding of what aggression is. First the UN is the source of the decision of the boundaries, not Israel. Secondly, the radical Islamic extremists who are bent on the destruction of anyone who isn't of their religion is the source of the terrorism and aggression, not the Lebonese. The Hezbollah isn't a Lebonese origination you ignorant dolt, it is a product of outside countries wanting the destruction of Jews, not the land they sit on. You demonstrate the absolute disconnect of other liberals fog heads who blame victims instead of the perpetrators. Wake up before it is too late to recover. We need to unite not blame the side you are pointing the finger at. My God wake up!!!!!!

Americans on the right have always believed in exceptionalism for the U.S. Should countries be able to have nukes - no, well except us. Should a country be able to invade another country and take it over - no, but well we can. Should countries have to obey the Geneva convention - of course, well except for us. People who believe this way do only support democracy and moral teachings when it is convenient.

Guess I would do the same as they are doing protecting my people. As a native hawaiian we face many issues related to the united states, one that we have no rights as other indigenious people. We have lost our lands and our way of life with no compensation. we lead the state in poverty, health issues as well as many of our young men are incarcerated in other states. But we do not take human life.

However, I am not where they are in the middle east but i am almost certain I would defend my people, family and way of life against others who are killing them with the same force.

have question myself on here if you care to answer reggie c

If you are referring to Lebanon, I would do all I could to evict Hezbollah and denounce terrorism. I would accept occupation if it allowed me to live free from Islamo-facist pigs.
