Something that is meaningful to both you and her. Something simple, something that she can always remember you by. If she mentioned how something when she was younger made her happy, try to find something else similar to it. Skip the normal long stem roses (unless those are her fave) and chocolates, get something viberate and colourful if you are going with flowers, that are potted so they can continue to grow, get something made for her online (its not nearly as expensive as it looks) or if you are close with her friends ask them what they think she wuoold like. has she been hinting at a new i-pod or how much she would really like to try out that new place...?
trust meh, if its from the heart she will love it... if you managed to pick up on her hints... and get exactly what she wanted without having to ask you for it... she will love it even more.

It depends what kind of a budget are you working with? Here are a few choices:
1. The Past, Present, Future pendent its sweet its three stones in a line which represent your past together your present together and your future together.
2. A photography session like at Sears or something you can both get dressed up and go take professional couple photos.
3. An ipod with some songs you think she'll like.
4. A day at the spa. Oh that would be awesome.
If you're a youngster that can't afford much you can go to the jewelry kiosk at the mall and get a cute ring for like $30. It's real and pretty but most important affordable. Also you could get her a picture frame that says something like LOVE or RELATIONSHIP or something like that you can find that at Walmart for under $15.
Don't let anyone tell you to write her a poem she'll love it trust me she won't she's probably not materialistic but a girl still wants to know that you went out and saw something that reminded you of her.

Take her somewhere. Doesn't have to be expensive. But spend the day and night with her. You could go snow shoeing or skiing or something wintery like that. Or even just buy a night in a motel just to get away from everything. If its your one year it wont matter what you do or get her as long as you spend the time with her. Good luck!

Buy a lock and get engraved with both of your name and the date you first met. Get the two keys that come with the lock and put them on a necklace for each of you :) Put the lock on a love lock fence or anywhere really! I've always wanted this as a present so i'm sure she'll love it!

Aww. That's so sweet. You should buy her something nice, like jewelry. Other nice things like bubble bath and body wash, shampoo, and conditioner kits are great. I'd recommend shops like Bath and Body Works and any type of GOOD jewelry store. Buy something nice, not cheap. Believe me, she's worth it!

ok jewlry is always good but something homemade is good too a girl will fall even deeper in love with you if u take pictures from your entire time together and put them in like a romantic way of a scrapbook or something...the most important thing is to let her know how much you love her and that you really wanted this gift to be special
