so how come some ppl dont? didnt they read the Bible or something?

I am not a christian nor do I believe in any of its theology including what is said in the bible. Heaven and hell are creations of theology and if you don't believe in the theology they don't exist.
I've read the bible cover to cover twice and the more I read the more it reaffirmed my own disbelief in it.

Personally, I do believe in Hell. Hell isn't lakes of fire and little devils poking you with a pitchfork. According to "The Good Book", Hell is the absence of God's voice and influence.
I don't know about you, but I haven't heard from The Man lately. Take a look at the world around you...does it look like your all-powerful benevolent deity has any influence in this place? It sure doesn't look that way to me.

Well, I don't believe in it because.
1. The Bible says many things like how to treat slaves, turn the other cheek...but these are not meant to be taken literally. So hell can be many things.
2. I feel that we have more purpose than to end up in heaven where I feel that existance will be utterly boring with no exitement or challenges.

I don't believe in hell because the concept of it makes NO SENSE to me whatsoever. Yes, it's in the bible, but so what? I should believe in it because it's in a book? I do my own thinking, thank you very much, and a place like hell is illogical if you just consider it for a minute. Blessed be.
