Well I read in a cat book one time that the average litter is 3-4 but it can vary depending on how many eggs were fertilized and how big that cat is. It goes anywhere from 1-12 but if the cat has more than 8 some of them will probably die. Please Please if your cat is pregnant consider getting her spayed after this litter, there is so many unwanted cats and kittens in this world. Call your vet or the humane society.

Cats who spend lots of time outdoors have more, because they mate more times. I have known cats to have as few as 3 and as many as 11.
