The "average" pulse is between 60-100, although I am sure that some people can have a heart rate that is slightly lower or higher. As long as it doesn't get down to 40 or up to 200, I'm sure you will be ok. Just make sure to get regular check-ups with your family doctor.

The normal heart rate range is 60 - 100 beats per minute. People who have low heart rates generally have a daily cardiovascular exercise routine which keeps them in good health. You have youth and exercise on your side that would keep your heart rate low. I'm not sure what you mean by " A bit overweight", but if you are one who sits on the couch and truly overweight, then a low heart rate may be an indication of something developing. Your grandfather says he had a low hear rate at your age: was he doing a lot of exercise or hard lobor like construction or logging?? But if you're exercising a lot, staying healthy, eating right, then its not uncommon to have a resting heart rate in the 50's. In fact, i've seen it as low as in the 30's, but that's with professional athletes.

A low resting pulse price does not imply you're in well bodily situation, and a extensive version in pulse price does not imply there's a drawback. People which might be in well bodily situation most of the time have slash than traditional resting pulse premiums, however a few humans have intrinsically low resting pulse premiums, without reference to their bodily situation. So, there is no such thing as a end that may be made approximately your wellness headquartered best in your pulse price. What issues is the blood stress variety - whether or not your blood stress is inside a reliable variety while you're resting or workout. Take your blood stress at each extremes and spot what occurs.

That is in the normal range for a heart rate. You are exercising, which can lower your heart rate, and your grandfather says it runs in the family. I wouldn't worry unless a doctor was concerned about it.

A normal heart rate (for your age), should be around 75 - 80. Yours is a little slow. Are you tired alot? Does it speed up when you exercise or are more active? If your BP is fine, and you feel fine, I would not be over-concerned. When you count your HR, it should be done when you are at rest, for one full minute. Keep a little diary of it, & the next time you go to the Dr, tell what they are.

I had a pretty low pulse rate when I was younger (your age) and in good shape. Around 45-55. I don't think there's anything to worry about, but like any health question, if you are concerned, see a doctor. Take care and have a good day.
