It's not WHAT you eat, it's how MUCH you eat. As difficult as it may be, you should try to cut your portions in half of what you would normally eat. Or the other option is to cut out all pop and meat, go on a diet of raw veggies and fruits, and maybe some tofu for protein, with lots of water and eat your complex carbs (not simple carbs - they're like eating straight sugar.)

Hey, you don't give me much to work with? I mean are you size challenged to start with or is your BMI right on the money?? I mean if your diet consists of scooter pies and bon bons all day long you will have to cut those things out. Do you have any level of physical fitness? If not, lets get our cheeks out on the road and start tonight with a nice easy walk, maybe a mile. Same thing tomorrow night, no nachos and cheese after the workout!! And no pop, its H20, no beer, H20!!!!, Water should become your go to item. Lets get some leaf salad in your diet, low cal dressing!!! Lay off the fast food, that includes pizza... Have a decent breakfast. No snacking after dinner, you can have a piece of string cheese at about 8:00pm. No midnight grazing in the kitchen. Weigh yourself before beginning and again in 2 weeks. Let me know how your doing!!

5 lbs in 2 weeks is a GREAT healthy goal this is fairly easy. It can be done with a simple decrease of a few hundred calories intake and a simple 30 minutes a day 3 days a week arobic exercise routine (biking swimming jogging, step classes anything that brings the heart rate up)

How easy!
Instead of your normal dinner, have some raw vegetables (like yellow or red bell peppers, celery)
Make water your primary drink throughtout the day
Cut breakfast and lunch in half, and eat a piece of fruit between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and dinner.
Run everyday for 30 minutes.
