I said that to a very dear friend of mine before her death. After all the fun and frolic and whatever of life, love was the only thing left at that point.

yes if those were the last words you got to say to them never say goodbye those words are forever and your friend is not gone out of your life forever in fact they are there with you at this moment if does the phone rings and no one is there if so that's your friend still in your life.
