Is it required to stemp new visa, if you change employement in USA and visit your country before your old visa expires ?

I am here on H1B visa, first time i got visa for x company from india, now i changed my employement in usa. my older visa is still valid till sep 2007. if i visit my country in december 2006, do i need to restemp my visa again ?

Your visa stamp does not need to be reissued as long as your prior employer is not listed in the annotations sections of your visa stamp. Also, if your passport in which the visa stamp is located is still current, you do not need to renew the stamp.

If you plan on leaving the U.S. while on your H1B, be sure you get a recent verification of employment letter from your current employer as well as bring the original approval notice of your H1B transfer in case you need to present them at the border.

Sorry, but the prior answer is wrong. Your visa is specific to your employer. If you have changed employers, you need a new visa, which you must apply for while you are outside the US, with the I-797 notice of approval for the change.
