Well, I have a job, college degree, etc. I still can't get approved for some loans even though I haven't missed a payment on anything since I graduated college and have NEVER been late on a car note in my life. Your credit score should vary depending on who is looking at it. Like me, a credit card should be less likely to approve me but a car lot should get me any kinda car I can afford on paper because the payments I missed in college were all credit cards. However, I can get credit cards but not cars.

Anyone that provides something to you that you have to pay monthly on CAN increase your rate or deny you approval because of your history of late or missed payments. So if you had an apartment would you move in someone that is very likely to miss a payment, somewhat likely, or almost not likely at all? I would always want to rent to someone that pays all their bills on time and always have. However, again, if your credit reports say nothing about you missing a rent payment your rent credit history should be good.

Bad credit doesn't say anything about how much money you have/had. It says what kind of decisions you make with that money. I have heard some of the Katrina aid has gone to strip clubs and several other things they shouldn't have. At the same time, they probably weren't paying their req'd bills. I have bad credit too and I think I am much less of a credit risk than many people with better credit than me.

It sucks that I have bad credit because I did what I had to do to get my degree years ago. But I still have a higher car payment than most other people with the same vehicle. Not fair.

America's not greedy....You are living outside your means. That's really about all that is wrong with America. The media and societal values encourage, illiterate, undereducated, and otherwise ignorant people that they are somehow entitled to the same things as other people who have worked for and paid for with or without credit. The fact that you have been the recipient of FEMA funds due to Hurricane Katrina, and can't spell doesn't help either.

Credit is based on reasonable trust that you will pay for one thing or another based on your assets, income, past credit (payment) record. If you have bad credit, it is because you have been irresponsible in paying your debts and that record has hurt you for future purchases. That is not America's fault. It's all yours! Go back to school, get an education, then get a descent job......then you can establish good credit.

If your're not money greedy you save your money and you can buy a car I wouldn't pay payments on a car if I could avoid it. Try getting a secured credit card and use it to fix your credit. Find out what is showing up as bad on your credit and use the card to pay on that and then pay the credit card bill you get a two for one special that way and when you have all the bills paid you'll also have that money left over in a savings account.

You have to have good credit to get a house or car because they need to know you are a good credit risk and won't default. If you are paying for a house or car outright you will have no problems. Without good credit they are also afraid you won't pay the rent, and then it's a real pain to try to evict you. Pay the entire balance up front in cash, and they will rent to you.

In many ways your credit rating will help or haunt you. It is not about being money hungry. It is a reflection of your charachater, as it tells a lender if they can trust you to make your payments.both on time for the required amount.I do,nt know your profession but be advised that now days employers are using a persons credit score as a way of screening potential employees.
again it,s all about charachater

money makes the international bypass round... the folk who say "money would not make you chuffed" do not forget that money certainly isn't each and every thing. that having sturdy well-being, relations and loved ones are the failings that make you maximum chuffed. that are you able to be better devastated about... dropping your moms and dads or no longer being waiting to purchase that ipod you've been desiring because it got here out? those who say this word recognize what its choose to lose something a techniques better useful than any sum of money. even if that is actual that money makes human beings chuffed because once you've it you've the prospect to spend it on materialistic issues that create leisure for oneself. for my area, i hit upon it significantly better accessible to except the actual incontrovertible reality that money is both each and every thing and under no circumstances something together...
