I hate it when that happens! Why don't blankets and comforters come in the same size as the sheets? Anyway.....in my room you can't see both sides of the bed when you walk in, so I make the visible side even (sheets, blanket, comforter) and the other side is uneven. Works for me!

Do you mean on the side of the bed or the bottom?
If you mean the bottom, just fold the sheet down at the top of the bed until you get the desired length. If you are talking about the sides, tuck them in if they are longer than the comforter.

When you put the flat sheet on the bed make a fold right down the center big enough to make the sheet fit under the comforter. I have a queen size bed so I bought a king size comfoter , fixed that problem.

pull the sheet to the top of the mattress and fold it down eight inches, this is the part of the sheet you neeed to go over the shoulder when you snuggle down.
You don't HAVE to make your bed any special way.
Americans tend to hospital pleat and tuck In England the way was to straighten the covers and pull them up over the pillows with no tucking under the pillows, no shams.
You make the bed the way it is comfortable to slip into and quick to remake in the morning.

ok, the right thank you to make a mattress could be : mattress pad > geared up Sheet > Flat Sheet > Comforter. ecu way could be mattress Pad > geared up Sheet > Flat Sheet > Comforter > Flat sheet. Their manly used to maintain the comforter clean, because they do no longer look to be made to be washed weekly, like sheets are.
