The first step that has to be taken in overcoming anxiety, is to be aware of the things that cause you to be anxious. To recognize there may be situations Out of your Own control. Once you can narrow down those realities, than you can make a plan to help be at peace with yourself and surroundings.
Reasonable steps for your lifestyle.
Possibly a healthier change in diet, moderate exercise, talk to people you trust, express your feelings. Do things that might be relaxing, meditate , read, go outside and sit quietly alone and have pleasant uplifting thoughts. Create a small segment of your own personal space that gives you a feeling of calm. Learn to get the rest you need. Don't lay your head on the pillow at night thinking of all problems that need to be solved tomorrow. That one takes practice sometimes. Those problems can only be handled effectively if you are well rested and calm, otherwise more anxiety is created by your own hand. Adapt a positive attitude, another one that takes work, but can be achieved if you really desire comfort for yourself.

Just close your eyes and breathe, then concentrate on the knowledge that what will be will be. We always have the ability to gain peace, just realize it's within yourself and take it. Other ways are to just do something besides sitting around; take a hot bath, or even a cold one, drink tea, try to find an interesting book to read. If you can, spend time with a friend. Just taking your mind off of worrying is often the best solution. If you're a Christian or Jewish, I've always found repeating the 23'd Psalm works; I always say it over and over t myself before a football game, it helps me focus.

When I first started to have my anixty attacks I went on St. John worts. You can get it at any drug store in the vitimin asile. It only helped for awhile. I ended up haveing to go to he drs and get on something. I wish you luck.
