Anywhere but a petstore. More often than not petstores that sell puppies get their dogs from puppymills. At these puppymills mothers are bred from the first time they come into heat, which is usually around 6 months of age and are bred every heat cycle from there. The parents are kept in inhumane place, cramped quarters, not given proper shots, and often have health problems that can be passed down to the offspring. You can search puppymills to get more information on the subject as well as pictures.

Any pet store would probably have one. Check your local shelter, and what is a real big help is if you check the Classified Ads. They might even have them for free in there! I got my kittens for free through the classified ads. And even if you can't get them free, they'll have them for good prices, and sometimes the prices are negotiable.

But it's usually best to buy them from breeders...or so most people will tell you. None of my animals (two dogs, four cats) came from breeders, and they're all very happy and very healthy.

It's usually a good idea to get a puppy or a kitten a companion, so when you can't be home, they have someone to be with.

I don't know how close you are to the MS border, but I live in Mobile and got my miniature dachshund from a breeder called "Nanny's Dachshunds" in Laurel, MS. She was great.

Chihuahuas and miniature dachshunds are both great. I don't know any places where they sell them in Louisiana, but please don't get one from a pet store. Pet store puppies are usually from puppy mills.

Never get a dog from a puppy mill around Christmas, as they're usually inbred. Only get one from a breeder if you are ABSOLUTELY positive that their dogs are well taken care of and have been properly bred. I think that adopting will be better off for everyone, as you can still find the dog of your dreams, and you can save a life

I have short curly hair for the first time since We was 10 years old and We really like it but I skip my long curly locks so I am growing it back out!

It's all merely a matter of personal preference. I actually have short hair and guys like it. And i prefer a man with short hair over a guy with long hair because long tresses tends to make guys look also girly.
