Its really very simple as to how to solve this illegal alien problem. Pick a date certain that once reached will require that NO government services are to be rendered to any illegal alien. No medical care, No education benefits and No welfare PERIOD. Say six months before law goes into effect so that these illegal aliens can get there stuff packed and catch the first bus home. Anyone failing to vamoose after date certain is treated as a felon with a minimum of 1 years incarceration in a work camp and forfeiture of all ill gotten possessions while living and working as an illegal alien in the U.S. The simplicity of the solution is readily apparent. You wont get illegal aliens if you cut off the subsidies. I have one more less workable solution that could conceivably rid us of the Mexican Braceros. I propose a boycott of any American company that employs illegal aliens such as virtually all landscape and fencing companies.

If the American consumer gets angry enough about illegal immigration they should be willing to with hold their money from companies that employ them.

Brilliant. I don't think our government will go for it. Our elected officials seem to have a separate agenda and it does not benefit nor protect the American Citizen..

For those of you offended because I call myself an American...

Get out of my country....

That is of course, if they have a home to go back to. Are you including all the American companies that have closed plants in the U.S. and moved them to Mexico so they can pay the workers next to nothing? I agree illegal aliens are a problem but where will you find the American workers to replace the ones you send packing? You don't sound like someone who'll pick fruit for the pennies offered. When an orange or apple costs $2.00 each and fresh lettuce quadruples in price, and the slice of tomato on your burger costs as much as the meat, you'll see the folly of your thinking. Hmm, lets look at another solution, if the illegal aliens were registered and taxed, the cost of welfare would be almost covered. Do you really listen to yourself? Start adding up the costs of closing your borders, patrolling it , building more jails to hold the ones who don't leave. What's a couple hundred more billion added to your debt. That's what you are proposing. Help them integrate, get them jobs, add their tax dollars to your coffers. Isn't that more like the American dream your founding fathers envisioned?

You are correct, but punishments should be harsher. No less than FIVE years in prison for those who employ illegal aliens... with a very harsh fine to boot....

Closing the border can be done, and done quickly.... but it requires a spine and a little will power.

Deportation of illegal aliens and children born to them while here illegally can also be done... again, the necessity of a spine comes into play, a willingness to spit on political correctness and get the job done for the USA and its legal citizens.

Our weak willed unspined politicians should be reading this forum. Might open their eyes that have been blinded by $$$$$$$$$, for that is all allowing illegal aliens into the USA is about. Money, nothing else, unless it is also about destroying the sovereignty and future of the USA.

I already refuse to hire any company I think has illegal aliens in its employ, we have almost quit eating out because of the problem.

This won't even vaguely address one aspect of the illegal alien problem that has proven to be the most troublesome: children.

Many people are highly motivated to come into this country by any means because they want their children to be born here. Once a child is born in America, he or she is an American citizen, regardless of the status of his or her parents.

So do you propose to take all these children and place them into the already overburdened foster case system once you arrest or deport their parents? The children, after all, as U.S. citizens are entitled to all the benefits of citizenship, even if their parents are not. It's either that or amend your suggestion by not granting citizenship at birth as well... which can be troublesome even for some legitimate Americans who cannot concretely demonstate their place and time of birth and the like.

It would be nice if the problem were so simple, but at this point shipping all illegals out of the country fails to relieve most of the burdens their children create, and in fact makes that burden far worse.

Keep thinking, though. There's probably a solution out there that will work, if we can only track it down!

Hahaha! I would like to see you try! You people (and by that I mean those individuals who agree with this ) think you are so much better than them just because you were born benign to this country. You can't just let them better themselves the best way they can. May God find ways to teach you to be a better person because you are so ignorant and vexatious to a group of people who have never done you any personal harm.

that's a novel idea, but too simple. what would you do with all the children once the parents were incarcerated? and that doesn't really solve the tax payers problems about paying for these people, we pay for prisoners as well

Wow! Now this sounds like a plan!!! Right on! If only the government could put something like this in effect it would be awesome! I like your way of thinking.

That is nearly the best solution yet. Problem is they are no money in it for the politicians.
