DEATH~

WHAT A WONDERFUL WAY TO EXPLAIN IT!!!!!

A sick man turned to his doctor,
as he was preparing to leave the examination room and said,
"Doctor, I am afraid to die.
Tell me what lies on the other side."

Very quietly, the doctor said, "I don't know."

"You don't know?
You, a Christian man, do not know what is on the other side?"

The doctor was holding the handle of the door;
on the other side came a sound of scratching and whining,
and as he opened the door,
a dog sprang into the room
and leaped on him with an eager show of gladness.

Turning to the patient, the doctor said,
"Did you notice my dog?
He's never been in this room before.
He didn't know what was inside.
He knew nothing except that his master was here,
and when the door opened, he sprang in without fear.
I know little of what is on the other side of death,
but I do know one thing...
I know my Master is there and that is enough."

Hold on a few years and I will get back to you!

"Death is like a car
That disappears around a curve,
Or like an ancient custom
That we've failed to preserve.
The car continues going
Even though we cannot see,
And the custom just remains
Itself, outside of memory.

Death is a relation
To a certain time and place;
To Eternity it's nothing
In a line of endless grace.

I've loved you all so much
That I've known Eternity,
Vast and never ending
Deep within the thing that's me.

Time is like a river
And love a clear, still lake
That holds the sky within it,
Crystalline and yet opaque.

And I have had that gift
In an abundance that is rare,
With you and with my husband
Who's both gone and everywhere.

I feel the awesome beauty
Of the end of earthly breath.
I've had a rich, full life
And now a peaceful, shining death."

At the time of death the mind replays all the events that took place during one's lifetime, from that cummulation of desires and activities the soul leaves the body, the destination of the soul is dependent upon what those desires and activities were and the degree of relevence and importance each individual places on them. Generically, if you live a Godly Spiritual life then you will be elegible to return back home to the Spiritual world, if the life led has been more worldly then the soul will be transfered to another material body that is suitable to the desires held and the activities performed. Free will in the human form of life is very powerful, the choice is yours as to which path you take, for further discussion:-Sriman Sankarshan Das Adhikari (sda@backtohome.com)

Death sucks, otherwise it would not have been something that God wanted Adam and Eve to avoid. Death goes against everything that humans have in the way of instinct, and thus becomes one of the most difficult inevitabilites to accept. I know that I am going to die, my body and my mind are not programed to accept it, and I will have to grapple with the end of my life, unless of course it comes on suddenly and unexpectedly.

Oddly enough it was the Nazis who noticed that Christians seemed to die well, that is with the less amount of anxiety about their departure. Perhaps God gives those who trust in Him an extra amount of grace at that very moment.

I died (my heart stopped) twice when I was 4 years old and I have some vague memories of it as though I was on the outside looking in, but I cannot remember exactly how I felt because at 4 years old I didn't know how to define more complex feelings.

i think it is very different for every one , a good death can be arranged no doubt with a loved one if you are unable to manage it yourself, when i have spoken to people who are very near death they say things like they might see an old friend or a loved one or an animal from years ago waiting for them to help them in to the void but it might just be the body shutting down and remembering nice things ,i think you loose all control over your body and might wet or mess yourself , it can be a long dieing or a quick dieing , and if its so great why dont people say that at the spirit church instead of daft things like he loved his garden, it is something we all have to find out but cant tell any one its the last big secret .

Dear rebecca,

The Bible says when we die we will stand before God on Judgement day and give an account of every thought word and deed. we will stand before Him like we would stand before a Judge, The Ten Commandments will be God's standard of righteousness so let's look at a few to see how you will do on Judgement day.

Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and we’ve only looked at three of the Ten Commandments. How do you do when Judged against Gods perfect standard? The Bilbe says we are required to keep the Law in thought, word and deed, in order to be found perfect before a Holy God. have you kept those commandments? In truth none of us Have, If we even think about breaking those commandments were guilty in Gods eyes. the problem is that God demands perfection, and if were found guilty of breaking His law we will end up losing our souls forever in Hell.
That’s not God’s will. He provided a way for you and I to be forgiven.
He sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name, so pray something like this: "Dear God, I repent of all of my sins (confess them). This day I put my trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me and grant me your gift of everlasting life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen."

Only someone who has died on the operating table can answer this - but once death has you - you cannot fix things in your life that needs fixing:
