Wear layers that alternate between soft and fluffy (fleece, flannel) and tight weave; put the fleece near your skin and a tight weave on the outside to trap the heat.
Wear a hat, gloves and warm socks, as you lose a lot of heat through your extremities.
Use a hot water bottle or 3; have one on your feet, one behind your back, a couple in your bed.
Make a foot cosy to keep your feet in.
Sit on and under a duvet.
Get up and move around for 10 mins every hour.
Have hot soup or porridge every hour.

I actually like to sleep when it is a bit cold in my room. I do two things that help me to keep warm. One is sticking my nose underneath the blanket and using my breath to help heat up the space.

Secondly I use a scarf to not only cover my neck but to also drape over my eyes and ears. The neck helps me not to get sick, the ears warm me up quite a bit, a the eyes help me to sleep.

If you ever have sleep problems drape something over your eyes. Melatonin is only produced when it is dark. There is so much light pollution that we may not realize this may be part of the reason we have insomnia. Anyway I digress. In short breath under your blankie and wear a scarf.

My uncle and a friend got lost while hiking. They ended up having to sleep outdoors, in the cold. What they did to keep warm was leaves. They piled a bunch of dead leaves all over them (Kinda like the pile you jump into during the fall). This is what helped them survive until help came the next day.

definately body heat is the best way to keep warm, or plenty of thin layers of natural fabric clothing ie. cotton or wool. If you wear layers, the gaps in between the layers also act as another layer of heat
