I took Lexapro for over a year, and it took a long time for the MD to get my dosage right, but that could have just been my experience with it. Yes, it does help with anxiety and depression, especially panic attacks. You just start to feel very...level, like all the things that used to bother you don't matter anymore. I felt kind of dislocated, disjointed sometimes, and it seemed to affect my balance for some reason, but other than that, it really helped. It did not affect my sex drive like some antidepressants do, if anything it helped me to relax enough to enjoy sex. It is an SSRI, which means it affects your serotonin levels, and is not a medication you want to mess with without your MD advice. It didn't take as long for the effects to kick in either, compared to some on the market which take four to six weeks before they begin working. I will also say that it is probably not something your MD will keep you on for very long. I got the impression that it is more for short duration depression and anxiety. Good luck and I hope I helped you out.

If it does not help you ask for Effexor. It is best for panic attacks and anxiety plus depression. Also: don't drink any booze or do any dope. These medications are very strong and not to be treated lightly. Effexor which is like an sshri saved me from hell. Now one and a half years later I am reducing the medication and I feell well.
I wish you all the best and hope you are not suffering too much.

I used to take it about a year ago. It worked really well for me, first on the anxiety, then the depression. Hope it helps you! P.S. Don't worry if it makes you feel less hungry for about a week or two, that's normal and it happened to me. The only bad part was when my appetite came back! It also made me dream more... but they were fun dreams like playing major league baseball and cool stuff like that.

For me, it is very effective. When I first started it, they had to adjust my dose to get the correct effect. After my anxiety started to subside, I was able to lower my dose. I know the stuff works because, when I was on vacation, I started having anxiety attacks and realized I had neglected to take my Lexapro.

I'm no longer a Beatles fan, and I do not discover not anything offensive approximately that track or them strains in any respect. He used to be handiest creating a declaration approximately himself, or possibly even any one else, that hit their lady be it a female friend or spouse, which sorry to mention did occur extra more commonly again then than it does to day, I must say it occurred again then up to it does to day, however used to be excepted as in, individuals didn't speak approximately it that a lot. And all Lennon did used to be convey it to the vanguard, to permit individuals recognise what's going on on this planet, and no person is doing something approximately it. But he or the character of their track is doing some thing approximately it, as he is stopped beating the girl and matters have become higher. I do not see not anything improper with that in any respect. I feel possibly you're going overboard a little with the track. So I bet you do not like Hendrix capturing his ancient girl and strolling off to Mexico. I wager she used to be crushed generally, earlier than she used to be shot. Or the Rolling Stones, making a song approximately how Stupid Girl, a placed down on all ladies, and they have been vain. But that's no longer the case. One consistently has to don't forget within the 50s it used to be very good recognized that guys beat their lady, female friend/spouse, and it additionally used to be actual into the 60s, whilst individuals like The Beatles introduced it to the vanguard. So as a track is going, it is a best track, for it is open to what used to be happening on the time, and that it is usually time to difference matters and make it higher. If I used to be troubled through that track for that verse by myself, then I could be troubled through over have the songs in my assortment. I'm ok with that. Cause all it's doing is telling me matters like that received to give up, and we need to begin to make matters higher. In which case he's doing. take care dave

Yes, I've been taking it for a few months now for depression....very few side effects for me, but sometimes I do have very vivid dreams that can be bothersome....because they seem so real. Other than that, it works well.....and sometimes I experience dizziness.

It gave me insomnia, I had to break 'em in half and take 5mgs instead of ten. It did help my moods at 5mgs and the insomnia/hyper feeling went away.
