the s10 blazers are great offroad and you can find parts for them anywhere, but if you want a real truck, the toyota's are pretty nice.

If you like the Escalade ESV, check out a Chevrolet Suburban. This is the same truck only much cheaper. And with out the full time 4WD like the Escalade it can do a little better on fuel economy. They are nice trucks that are comfortable and have plenty of room. And a Suburban is actually better than the ESV off road because it has a low range transfer case.
Hope I was helpful.

Luxurious and good offroad? - VW Touareg. O wait, that's a bit expensive. Try Xterra, although there is nothing about luxury in it.
How about Lexus LX 470? Luxury - yes, offroad capability yes, But what about "not too bad on gas"? Honda CR-V? is not an offroader... I don't think there is a car that will satisfy all your demands :)

theres only one true vehicle liek this. its called a landrover. not rangerover. landrover. its a beast. and dont let the current hype of rangerovers and landrovers trick you. they were way popular way beforehand. soon celebs bought them and now they are "cool" again. anyway they are the best for your situation. Rangerovers are good also, but landrover is more offroad. you shoudl see an episode of Top Gear featuring a test of the landrover. it climed a whole mountain and have 50 different terrain options ect. anyway yah. but its expensive
