Yes, I am.

Even if it was crafted with the best of intentions, that doesn't mean it won't be abused later. Just because some of the powers in it haven't been excercised yet, doesn't mean they won't be used against us later.

I urge those in support to consider your most hated politician with the powers of the Patriot Act.

These things are cyclic...where liberties suffer under increased security. Look at US history (e.g., the Palmer Raids - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palmer_Raids). Or the internment of the Japanese shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor. When the nation is at great risk or perceived risk, there is often a rush to act - and that generally means that caution is thrown to the wind in order to provide immediate protections. Like the cases of the raids and the internment, the oppressive acts against liberty were eventually recognized and liberty prevailed.

We are living the history of the Patriot Act, and you can already see the public and the Judiciary acting to restore liberty back to its normal state.

Once again, these things are cyclic. Liberty will right itself once again.

Yes, very outraged. Bush is turning the US into a fascist nation, by telling us our safety depends on taking away our rights. The only reason this Bull$hit passed is because Bush cheated and tacked on benefits to soldiers... That way he could say anyone who voted no hated soldiers. He's a manipulative prick.

If you are outraged against the Government, just try and overthrow it. That is what the founding fathers want you to do anyways when the people gets pissed off at the government.

When was the last time three burly men stopped you on the street and asked you for your papers?
Maybe you should take a closer look at those planes slamming into our buildings.
Or maybe you would like it to happen again.

What makes you outraged about it? There are plenty of other alternatives, like invaded, defeated, bombed, shot, beheaded, and others too numerous to mention.

Does he think we are to stupid to figure it out our self?
