After Israel pulled out of Lebanon six years ago, Kityusha rockets continued to be shot from the border of Lebanon into Israel, causing damage and death.

The UN was supposed to control the border and keep Hezbollah from doing this, but as usual, they failed. I think it is fairly safe to say that they didn't actually try.

One day, Hezbollah guerillas came across the Israeli border and kidnapped two soldiers. A few years back, Hezbollah kidnapped three soldiers for a prisoner swap. Israel swapped some prisoners who were wanted terrorists for their soldiers' safe return. What Hezbollah got was a bunch of terrorists. What Israel got was three dead bodies.

Guess when you've had enough, you've had enough.

It all started when Palestinian guerrilas launched attacks from Souther Lebanon into Israel in 1978 and 1982. This led to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982. This led the people of Lebanon to create a nation resistance force later called Hezbollah. The fought the Israeli army for 18 years untill Israel finally pulled out its troops in 2000. After Israel left. they were seen as heroes and later members of Hezbollah were elected onto parliament.

Israeli occupation. Israel is occupying part of Lebanon and Israel have kidnapped Lebanese and refused to give back the Lebanese land and free the Lebanese PPL. So the Lebanese kidnapped 2 Israeli solders who are serving in the occupied Lebanese land. They did that to make Israel negotiate the release of both Israelis and Lebanese. There were no hostility on the borders for the last 6 years. Only Israeli Airplanes fly over the sky of Lebanon

From what I heard, it was the kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers by a militant group call "Hezbollah." This militant group is in Lebanon, so Israel invaded Lebanon in order to retrieve there kidnap soldiers. Rising tensions and hate between the two countries are factors that led to this conflict.

Well actually the conflict is between Israel and Hezbollah. The trigger was constant unprovoked terror attacks upon Israel by Hezbollah fighters; despite talks of peace if Israel evacuated out of their people out of Gaza.

I believe the final trigger that sparked this conflict was an unprovoked attack upon Israeli forces that caused the deaths of several Israeli soldiers and the kidnapping of two (if my information is correct).

The answer is Hezbollah... If they should quit fighting Israel would most certainly stop returning fire. As long as the cowards of Hezbollah continue to fire on Israel then Israel will continue to defend itself...
