You are basically a morbid person and there is nothing strange with that. Indeed I will rarely go a day without pondering death at length.
Given what you have said I would say you may be happier if you were part of an orgainised religion, or at least had a religious leader like a priest, or rabbi to discuss these matters with. There are many fine religions in the world like Christianity, Islam and Zoroastrianism (the world's oldest monotheistic religion) and most non-fundamentalist followers of a religion will be more than happy to discuss your feelings about death with you.
Have a great day and I hope your kids grow up string and happy. Have fun!

Thinking about it constantly can't be doing you any good. One of the main reasons religion was created was to help people like you. The idea being that if you can convince someone that there is a God, and convince them that when they die they are going to a better place i.e. heaven, then the thought of death won't worry them as much. Obviously this isn't working for you.

There is nothing on the so called "other side", when you die that is it, end of story. We all know that death is inevitable, but worrying about it doesn't do you any good at all, in fact worrying about it too much could hasten your death.

It seems to me that you have a good life, married, kids, job etc... Enjoy what you have got before it is too late.

Well....I am a born-again Christian and I went through that too about five years ago. Turns out I had clinical depression. You might try talking to a doctor about getting medication.

I'm not going to tell you to pray, because when I was going through that, God was the last "person" I wanted around. If you think meds might help, try them. It's just like a diabetic needing insulin.

For me, now as I look back, it's like that footsteps in the sand thing.

Why worry about the inevitable? As long as you can look in the mirror every morning and like the person you see then that's all any of us can do .... give yourself a break and remember that for all of us life is over too damn quickly .... so live it well and enjoy yourself.

Start thinking of living-you are only on this planet for a very short time-make the most of it. I thihk you must be paranoid nobodies watching you-death will happen when it happens.

Well I think it's quite normal, after all, we are all going to die some time. Just watch you don't get too morbid, make sure you appreciate the life you are living now.

Sounds like a mid-life crisis. The reality that you really are going to die, as will your family, is hitting home.

Why do you feel that it is a problem to do so?

It is not unatural to be preoccupied with thoughts about death but they are usually symptomatic of some other worry.

it is good to think about death regularly.. because you cant escape it.. you should live everyday as if it were your last.. you never know what can happen... it is good you are constantly aware of death... then it will make you realise life is too short to waste it..
but dont scare yourself when thinking of it.. just make yourself realise everyone has to die one day.... so atleast you are aware of it
