I HAD THIS SAME QUESTION ONCE TOO!!!
In the new testament of the King James Bible it says in so many words that "We are created to bring pleasure to God!" I hope that you are making him happy by worshiping him properly so that he can bless your life.

In a nutshell, we're here to learn and grow in understanding.
We learn from our life experience and our relationships with other people. When we make mistakes, we evaluate what happened and why, in order to determine what effect our mindset has on our experience. If necessary, we can change our mindset.
If we don't learn, we repeat the experience in some way.
Learning explains why we ask so many questions, although distraction and entertainment are the reasons for lots of people's questions.
Yes, we really have free agency. No, we're not here to serve anyone's idea of God. Our only destiny is to grow in understanding and love, whereby we serve the real God.

Without going into lots of simplicities, which your question is very simple....let me give you a book that answers all too well for itself...and yourself...it's called "Conversations with God" by Neale Donald Walsch...really a great read & there are three books in the series, if you find you'd like more. His children's book "Little Soul and the Sun" is also awesome for young & old....check them out...I bet you start & can't put them down!

There are 9 pages and a lot of reading, but finding answers means taking the time to look for them. Hope you enjoy it.
I once wondered, and now I know. That is why I share these truths with others. I want everybody to know to :).
Please read it, and if you would like to know more you can do a search at the Home of the website :)

We are created by God, and for God's purpose.
The Bible says in Jeremiah.
For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, plans to give you a future and a hope.

We are here for one reason, and one reason only -- to get to Heaven and to be united with our Creator after we die.
There's a lot involved with reaching that lofty goal, of course -- but at the end of the day, that's what it's all about.

It makes sense to me that we ask and answer questions in order to ask and answer questions.
