no - but bush is doing a heck of a job destroying 50 years of goodwill..... right now all the major players might not LIKE what the US is doing, but nobody is affected directly, at least not to a point, where a counter offensive would be considered....

That is a tough one, but . . .
it certainly feels like a world war. Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon are amongst the most volatile places to start a war due to the extreme importance religion and oil plays in that region.
With militant Islamic groups growing in power in Pakistan due to the government's war on them and with Iran slowly emerging as a power player, the idea that this can spread to Iran, Syria, Jordan, Somalia, Ethiopia, and quite possibly Egypt, should have everyone worried.
If Israel continues shelling and killing civilians, I don't see how Iran and Syria will be able to stay out of the war. Egypt has sent its strongest message yet asking Israel to stop its offensive.
Egypt is in real danger of being taken over by fundamentalists, as does Saudi Arabia. The rulers of these two nations can't take a strong stand for Israel because such position would assure a fundamentalist takeover. Unfortunately, the position of the United States is really making this worse.
Bush has to tell the Israelis to stop and take a breather.
The United States, and the European nations, are not in any position to send more troops into the Mideast, and considering our very poor image abroad, it would be possible to get nations to support a military campaign.
An all encompassing world war? I don't know, but, a Mideast War or a Central Asia War is a far greater possibility.

No worries mate! The world has always been at war. Until this century produces some of the genius ideology's comparable to the last, such as Marx, Keynes, and Smith which where revolutionary ideas at the time... you will continue to see the same humdrum conflicts that have been going on. I don't see this as a world war however the planet's intelligent energy seems to be directed at the bigger better bomb to control the smaller more limited resources and it will soon no longer require a world war to destroy the earth. So just live your life with out concerning yourself of world violence with this comforting thought. If it was in mother nature design to destroy ourselves then how can you argue with evolution.

War is an inevitable part of human existence, going all the way back to the earliest times.
The only difference now is that our technology is so much more advanced, that we have the capability to launch nukes from thousands of miles away, so an all out world war in today's day and age wouldn't last long and would do far more damage that any country wants to deal with.

It really could, I believe. I happen to believe in a conspiracy theory that pits the Shia Muslims against Sunnis and it is being shook by Iran.
Can you imagine what would happen if Iran, which is Shia and who is apparently trying to get the bomb ( at least according to U.S. officials), set off the majority of people in Iraq .These people are Shia also. A civil war in Iraq would undoubtedly result in a Shia victory. Now we have this new scenario.
There would be Shia to the east of Sunni Syria.
There would be Shia(Hezbollah) to the west of Syria.
Syria would be gone.
Turkey would annex the Kurd area in Iraq to prevent their own Kurds who have been trying to make a new country
for years
The fire has started.

It could be. Maybe it ends with the acts from other President or a message for the World Peace can change everything or nothing. Anyways, who knows?

What do you prefer? Cowardice complete with a Burkha and Koran or some death for freedom's sake?
This country's freedom was a result of a long, bloody war.
