I don't know. If I were a Canadian citizen, why would I go to the US? If I were a French citizen, why would I go to Belgium?

I ask these not to be facetious, but because I really don't know. However, it is something I am considering. In my case, I'm considering it because my husband is a French speaker and so living in Quebec might be easier for us. He can get a job, and I can get a job as a teacher since my subject area is English. Currently, we live in China, but I think I might like to be closer to home.

Actually the only reason I wouldn't go is because of the weather. I like hot southern US summers and mild winters. Would it be difficult to become a legal citizen there?

To fish..... I sure wouldn't want to live under their socialist form of government.... Canada, im some ways, reminds me of France: a country with NO SPINE. Except, Canadians will fight for freedom.... at times.

My husband is a US citizen and he would reply, "to get away from Bush and the corrupt government".

He now lives in the UK with me!
