Adam is a description as well as a name.
There is no scriptural evidence for whose choice it was

ADAM (Heb. adham, Gr. Adam, of the ground or taken out of the red earth). In Hebrew this is both a personal name (Gen 2:20; 3:17, 21; 4:25; 5:2-3; 1 Chron 1:1) and a general noun ("mankind," over 500 times in the OT). As the first and representative man, Adam was made in God's image, provided with a garden and a wife, and given work to do (Gen 1-2).

Adam named Eve:

in case you'll accompanied your own suggestion to study up on the links, you'll have got here upon that "Adam" develop into merely one among countless adult males together and there is not any patrilinear line lower back to a unmarried guy from which all adult males arose. So, NO, it is not any longer the Adam and Eve of the Bible. BTW, the Torah speaks of a time previously Adam and Eve - study the tale of Lilith.
