I'd be out of a job, but I'd find something else to do. I'm a chemo nurse with only 6 years experience ( Been nursing a total of 32)
My patients are the sweetest kindest people I have ever had the pleasure to nurse. They are so humble and grateful for everything that is done for them. The Oncologist that I work for is the smartest woman on the planet and we all love her.
One day there will be a cure.

I had stage three Hodgkins Disease in 1989, had surgery and a year of chemotherapy and have been cancer free ever since. Based on my very blessed experience, I feel like we have already found a cure for the particular cancer that would have killed me within two years had there been no appropriate medical intervention available.
To answer your question as to what I would then do, I have spent not just a day but every day of my life since then trying to make a difference for the better and trying not to "waste" the extra days on this earth that I've been granted. I try to be more compassionate with others, more patient, more giving, less judgmental, and maybe most importantly, more forgiving of others.
I don't claim to always succeed at this since I'm only human myself, but that is how I've tried to "thank" all my doctors and nurses who gave me another chance at life--by living it with honor, integrity, and love toward my fellow man--in short by trying to follow the teachings of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What would you do???

I read an article in a recent cancer journal that shows we're getting close. A recent study showed that when cannaboids (chemicals in THC or marijuana) are introduced to a cancerous area, the cannaboids attack and destroy cancer cells but don't bother the normal healthy cells. Big breakthrough. This is true with breast cancer and a few others-not sure about other forms. THC isn't bad now is it?
It is true-they are keeping cures from us because they know they will loose billions if noone needs healthcare for cancer. There are many herbal remedies that have been used for centuries to control cancer. This country's first ammendment includes freedom of speech-EXCEPT if you are talking about healthcare. crazy, huh? sad but true. People have been discovering these herbal cures but can't say anything about them.

Unfortunately, that is likely not ever going to happen. Do you know how many people would be out of a job if there were a cure? Cancer is the 2nd largest non-profit moneymaker on the planet after the catholic church.

I will never nor willyou ever see that event. The reason is simple. There is no money in a cure, only in helping you live with it. The same with most diseases and viruses. AIDS is curable, but there is no money in non-suffering humans, only in suffering humans.

I will thank God that a cure was finally found, and regret that it wasn't found soon enough to cure both my parents.
