because there is no god - he was a mythological figure that was created by ignorant savages to explain things they couldn't understand.

What sort of modern day miracle would you still want? Isn't it that through his creation such as man in the person of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs we are able to communicate quite easier than 50 years ago. Do you think that when Jesus comes down from heaven , everybody will see him physically specially those living in the lowest part of the world? Of course not, televisions, computers and all other kinds of communication will show him to the world. Ain't that a modern miracle?
Why don't you just open your eyes to the things we experience everyday of our lives. Walking on water is being done by Chris Angels. Turning water into wine is a mass hypnosis that can be done by experts in hyypnotism who can make your tap water taste like wine. Miracles of yesterdays are technology today. Parting of the sea has something to do with natural calamity at that time and God never makes miracle that cannot be explained scientifically. You were just presented with stories you taught are beyond human capability to do and understand and all of this are for reasons of setting your freedom to grow on hold.

He quit all that stuff when we left the old testament behind and started living the new testament of Jesus Christ.
He does preform miracles every second of every day, and you won't allow yourself to see them.
The very fact that we are a stable mass set to spinning at just the perfect tilt , and distance from the sun to keep us from being covered completely with water and burning up from the sun is a miracle man!
The way an animal or human being reproduces itself is a miracle, can't you understand that!
The way the world recycles and nourishes us is nothing short of a miracle. It is happening right now to you.
There is no reason that the scientist can find that the atoms that make up everything on the earth including us, should hold together and make a solid object. There is no binding force to be found. We should not be, we should just be atoms floating around in space, but God said "BE" and we are.
Wine into water is for the old times, of sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins on an altar with animals
We live in the days of Jesus already making that sacrifice for us.
We are living in the days of His Grace. and it should be sufficient for us.

Our Lord HAS Performed a Modern Day Miracle.
Back in the year 1917, He Sent the Mother Of His Only Son to Fatima Portagal to reveal Important Messages to 3 local children. In order to verify the Virgin Mary's Messages, He Used the sun, which was seen by thousands & thousands of people who came to the grotto(where these appearances of Mary were taking place), & He Shot it across the sky, allowing numerous colours to spring forth. At one point, the sun appeared as if it was going to fall directly onto the onlookers.
A few minutes earlier, it was raining heavily & the people were soaked, but, after the incident with the sun, all the people were completely dry--clothes & all.

Definition of "miracle": Modern day surgery; modern day ethical drugs (and yes, even the lowly aspirin); transportation; communications; and the list goes on. These are "good' things from God mandated thru humans. When I see conjoined twins separated to live a normal, useful life, I see something good from God. The word "miracle" has been so misused that it has become trite. Just remember, only Good can come from God.

Israel became a nation again after being dispersed for nearly 1900 years. That has never happened before. Many said that the Bible could not be true because it talks of Israel in the latter days-but Israel went extinct, it is nowhere to be found. Its has now been here 58 years. Israel is no bigger that the county that I live in, yet it is more powerful that all the nations in the Middle East put together-that is a miracle.

In Colossians 1:17 it says He holds the world together.l think that's a miracle, that we don't fall off and go floating off in space, or that the earth stays at the exact tilt it does, the sun doesn't bump into us. We woke up today. People are healed, little children are born, grass grows, flowers bloom, birds fly, the moon and stars shine at night so it's not complete darkness. What do you mean no miracles?

Who said there are no modern day miracles? Have you heard of the man who was raised from the dead in Africa. After he died, his wife refused to bary him; she went to a white priest who preaches to the Africans and asked him to pray to Jesus to raise her husband from the dead. That happened according to her faith 4 days after his death. This story is true and authenticated. In addition, many miracles happen every where in the world but people are engaged in their business and their work unable to spend time for prayers with believers who experience miracles almost continually around the clock.

Maybe we are all too busy to recieve him and his miracles... Everywhere you look you see people doing things, with noise constantly pounding into their ears. Everyone is hooked up to an iPod, playing video games or working. When was the time you last sat in complete silence? I'm not talking about sitting in your office at your desk, listening to co-workers or wondering about how the world will end. When was the last time you have sat without ANY noise? Without thinking about something?
There are people that record nature sounds for the movies. One such man was giving testamony that it used to take him about 150 hours to record one hour of complete nature sounds, without the interruption of an airplane or a car passing nearby, for a movie he was working on. Now, it takes him roughly 1200 hours to record the same amount of time.
People, we are getting busier and busier. Even when we pray, we are talking to him, not letting him talk to us. Take sometime to listen to what he has to say, maybe we will see something that we missed before because we were too busy.
God Bless

Simply because people as a whole do not believe enough! God still works miracles, but there just isn't enough faith anymore. The Scripture says "Evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse", so if you're looking for miracles, look a little closer to home. He will work for you if you really desire it and it's witihin the scope of His will.
