I am sure the person is wise enough to know not to slap me on the left so it only stands to say that they would not take God out of there thoughts to slap the right.

I do believe that "turn the other cheek" is a metaphor for "forgive & forget" it does not advocate by any means accepting or allowing physical violence.

As for giving something to someone in need, yep, I do it all the time.

I would hope I'd be strong enough to turn the other cheek;and,I have so in the past;but,being a mere human,I've also failed to do this in the past.All I can do is pray for strength and wisdom;and,when I'm too weak, I must pray for forgiveness.
