The problem is that we have 90% of incarcerated prisoners in this country that say they didn't do it. We also have people who without a doubt that did it and they are walking the street because of some technicality. So see, what you have is a conundrum when it comes to what to do about these people. There are people that have been caught with video that have gotten off, so our legal system is failing us in that respect. Also, there are people who have been imprisoned for 15/20 years and are finally getting let go because DNA proves they didn't do it.
What I am getting at is that if there was a way to prove some people were guilty and prove that some people aren't I believe there should be more strict punishments for those that touch children inappropriately or rape women. But since there is sometimes an incorrect conviction it is hard to justify very strict rules. I would say that anyone convicted twice of either child abuse or rape should be castrated physically.

Something's gotta be done, because it sure does seem like there's a lot of child molesters out there!
Every community should have a giant WATER WHEEL that anyone could be tied to, or go up to and walk around pushing on a handle, to pump water for the good of the community they live in.
Let who needs to for exercise and offenders of the law walk it off.

Of course they should be put in jail and of course if they didn't do it, they most certainly must try to prove themselves innocent. That is not always easy if you have no money. Good lawyers cost good money. If you are an idiot who has commited similar crimes in the past, it's on you I suppose. Fact of the matter is, jail isn't a deterrent because one day, true offenders will resurface on our streets, to do it again. They cannot be cured. It has been proven. Castration is a joke because the problem does not lie in their balls, it lies in their heads...Power and control...power and control. I say lock all of them up in mental institutions for the rest of their lives. That would solve all the problems...or lobotomies.

you seem to have answered your own question. Yes child molesters need to be locked away from the children in society, once a child molester, always a child molester. Obviously, if a person is innocent of the charges, no they should not be punished for it.

a crime against a child the son of abitch should die a slow miserable death. In jail they would seperate him from the rest of the prisoners because of his crime.Even the convicted murders hate child molesters and they would make prison even worse on him,so the government won't allow that to happen.I say just tie him up in the middle of the desert with no food or water and let him slowly die of starvation and dehydration.

Do you mean for the rest of their lives? Because they are jailed already.
Personally, I do think they need to be kept track of for life. Not even castration cures that tendency, especially not now, when you can get testosterone online or on the black market.
I like the idea of designated communities just for them, with no children, no visits by children (Girl and Boy Scout troops couldn't even sell cookies!), warnings to UPS and pizza delivery people, etc. Call them "Jackson Estates," after Michael, or something.

The prosecutors need to look more deeply on the accusers. Under 12, definitely jail for life. 13 and up, check them out, since they are smart enough to accuse someone if they just get pissed off. 16 and up, most are looking for it, the way they dress and the way they talk shows that. Look before you jump.

no, they shouldnt be put in jail...they should be shot as soon as they are found guilty. it has been proven time and again that molesters CANNOT be rehabilitated. So why waste my tax dollars on a waste of skin...bullets are cheap.
Sorry to sound so harsh, but those people make me sick...

If someone didn't do something they are accused of doing, then no they shouldn't be in trouble. That's a stupid question.
Child molesters who DO do something --- should be put away.
